Are Chemical Peels safe?

Yes.

Chemical Peels are safe as long as they are administered by a competent and experienced medical professional. It is fully bio compatible, and allergy testing is not required.

There are few restrictions to when you should not get Chemical Peels. Always consult with a competent physician like Dr. Susan Davoodifar before your Chemical Peel treatment.

Do Chemical Peels hurt?

You may experience a warm, tingling and/or slight stinging sensation. Dr. Davoodifar may place a fan on low speed to help with any type of discomfort.

What are the side effects from Chemical Peel treatments?

There are very few side effects associated with Chemical Peels. Slight stinging, tingling and redness in the treated areas are temporary and generally disappear in a few days.

How long will the treatment last?

The results are as permanent as you intend on taking care of your skin thereafter.

Your skin will get damaged again due to natural aging, exposure to sun light and environmental pollution such as smoke, polluted air, etc. However, good post-treatment skin care will help you retain the rejuvenated, more youthful appearance.

How will I look after the treatment?

Response to Chemical Peels depends on the patient's skin type and frequency of treatments. Some of our patients experience some mild redness. Over several days after the treatment, there may be a fine peeling or scaling of the skin which can easily be controlled by applying moisturizer.
